What is Open House?
Open House is a social club for seniors connected to Ackroydon Estate. It has now been running for well over a decade, having launched in 2015. Open House is a great space for elderly folk to meet, socialise and become great friends. Each week has a different focus and activity.
We meet at 10.30am-12pm every Monday during the year (except Bank Holidays). We have hot drinks and home made cake each week. It is £1 entry.
What are the sessions like?
At Open House we run a wide variety of different sessions. This includes film club, singalong, bingo and seated exercise session. We try to provide fun activities that provide outlets for socialising, fun and gaining new skills. Every term or so, we run special spa sessions where local hairdressers and nail technicians kindly provide their pampering skills for free.
