What is Puppet church?

Puppet Church is a fun and engaging midweek playgroup for pre-schoolers and their grown-ups for families on the Ackroydon Estate. It runs on Tuesdays at 10.30-11.30am at Ackroydon Hall. It includes songs, puppets, bible stories, craft and play.

The vision for Puppet Church is for it to be more than a playgroup, as it is intentionally focused around the Bible story for that week. But also includes plenty of time for fun, singing, sensory play and craft. We encourage engagement of the grown-ups with their children throughout the hour session. As part of our hospitality at Puppet Church, we offer tea, coffee and warm toast for the grown-ups.

Due to our limited space, weekly places are limited to 20 children with their grown-ups and this operates on a first come, first serve basis.

What is the structure?

Puppet Church runs for an hour.

The first 30 minutes runs as follows:

*Songs

*Snack handout (we suggest something like rice cakes)

*Puppet sketch and bible story

*Craft

*Prayer

The second half is a time for play and social time which could include tea and coffees.
